The harvest prices for the 2019 crop insurance year have just been finalized as they were set throughout the month of October. Below is a summary of the prices for corn & soybeans.
Corn $3.90 (2.5% decline)
Soybeans $9.25 (3.0% decline)
Since the harvest prices for both crops are lower than their spring prices, if you have revenue protection (which most do), the yield at which you would trigger a loss increases to make up for the lower price.
If you want to know your specific loss trigger yield for your policy or a particular field if you have optional units, please call, text, or email anytime.
The best time to report your production is as soon as you finish harvesting - while it is still fresh in your mind.
December 10th, 2019
This is the LAST day to file a claim for the 2019 crop
We would like to get your production reported by then so we can check for losses & file a claim if needed.
We will check all of your yields for losses so you don’t miss out on a potential payment.
If you have your records ready, we would like to help you fill out the production report.
We can come to your farm or meet in the office - just give us a call to set up a time.
If possible, we like to get a copy of your summary sheets for grain taken to town.
If you would like your bins measured, please contact our office as soon as you are finished with harvest.
